TESTIMONIALS
Coming in as a transfer student and not knowing anyone, Hillel was a place I felt very welcome and became a haven for me to meet new people. Hillel is the heart of the EMU Jewish community, welcoming anyone who wants or needs a place to feel at home socially and in their Judaism.

I grew up with very little Jewish knowledge. I came to Hillel and found a place where all my questions were answered. I also found my home away from home, everyone was so welcoming. I am now much more confident in my Jewish knowledge and have plan and execute many Hillel events.

Through my experiences with Hillel I have become more involved with Jewish life on Campus. Also, I have found a deeper meaning and connection with my religion, and made several friends who share the same beliefs that I have.

Everyone in the EMU Hillel community is extremely welcoming and Hillel programs are relaxed, fun and engaging. Before I went on Hillel’s Alternative Spring Break, I was apprehensive because I didn’t know anyone, but by the time that it was over, I felt like they were family and I am so thankful for the new friendships I’ve gained.

Hillel gave me a place to fit in on my first days on campus, as a freshman and through my time at Eastern. Hillel has also given me the opportunity to embark on two Alternative Spring Breaks, where I had the time of my life.

As a first year student at Eastern I didn't know what to expect. Hillel was a great way for me to meet people on campus, especially other Jewish students. It gave me a connection to Judaism on a predominantly non Jewish campus.
